Take the Challenge. Help Fight ALS.
Join Gansett Run Club, Narragansett Brewery, and ALS United Rhode Island for a community Ice Bucket Challenge on August 12.
One Night. One Bucket. One Community Fighting ALS.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat, and breathe. There is currently no cure.
Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a community facing an incredibly difficult fight. On August 12, we’re coming together to raise awareness, stand alongside Rhode Islanders living with ALS, and remind them that they are not fighting alone.
Date: Wednesday, August 12, 2026
Run/Walk: 6:00 PM
Ice Bucket Challenge: Immediately following the run
Location: Narragansett Brewery, Providence
Donation: $10 suggested donation, paid directly to ALS-RI. Donations of $10 or more include a complimentary beverage courtesy of Narragansett Brewery.

Nope! The Ice Bucket Challenge is open to everyone.
You can join us for the run, enjoy a nice walk, arrive afterward for the challenge, or simply come out to support the event. -
Bring clothes and shoes that can get wet, along with a towel and something dry to change into afterward.
Bring your phone to film it and to challenge your friends.
We’ll provide the buckets, water, ice, and a community ready to make the night count. -
Yes PLEASE!
Bring your phone, record your challenge, and share it on social media to help put ALS back in the spotlight.
Bring friends to take the challenge with you, then call out a few more to keep it going.
The more people we involve, the farther the message spreads and the closer we can get to finding a cure -
All donations go directly to ALS Rhode Island to support its work on behalf of Rhode Islanders living with ALS and their families.
